God and Human Suffering: Ethical Issues in 21st Century Genetics, Oct 6-7 at the Episcopal Conference Center of Utah. Mount Tabor, the University of Utah, The Rocky Mountain Synod, and the Episcopal Diocese of Utah are co-sponsoring this event.

Guest preacher Sunday, Oct. 8 is the Rev. Dr. Ted Peters professor emeritus of systematic theology at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. He is one of the keynote speakers for the conference this week. ELCA Bishop Jim Gonia of the Rocky Mountain Synod is our presiding minister for the eucharist.

Conversation with our Bishop next Sunday Oct. 8, 9am-10am in the narthex. Bishop Jim Gonia will lead us in an exercise on "Claiming Our Gifts." Come and get to know our wonderful bishop of the Rocky Mountain Synod!

Lutheran-Roman Catholic Prayer Service next Sunday Oct 8, 3pm at Zion Lutheran Church. Bishop Jim Gonia of the Rocky Mountain Synod has extended an invitation to the Roman Catholic Dioceses that overlap our territory to share in ecumenical commemorations which will take the form of Common Prayer using a resource prepared by the Liturgical Task Force of the Lutheran-Roman Catholic Commission on Unity. All are invited.

Martha Circle Bible study meets on Thursday, October 12th at 1pm at the church. All women are invited.

OAKS (Older Adults Knowing Strength) luncheon will be held on Wednesday, October 18th at noon at the church.  

Reformation 500 Book Display: 1517-2017 marks 500 years of questioning authority in the Lutheran tradition! Come upstairs to the "Teen Coffee House and Discussion Room" and check out the Augsburg Fortress book display featuring the writings of Martin Luther, the history and legacy of the Reformation, and many other related topics!

Beer, Bratwurst, and Hymn Sing: Tabor celebrates the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation after worship on Sunday Oct 29th.

Inge Pedersen is a patient at Avalon Care Center at 523 N Main Street in Bountiful. She is also receiving the services of Bristol Hospice.

Sorting through your winter/spring clothing? Bring your gently used items to the Crossroads Clothing Bin outside at Tabor. Warm-weather clothing is most welcome!

Crossroads Food Barrel: You are invited to bring non-perishable food donations to the barrel in the narthex for the local food Pantry. They have no special needs at this time. All donations are appreciated. Food is delivered weekly to Crossroads on 400 East in SLC.
