Tabor Theology on Tap presents:

"The Marriage Equality Movement"
Beans and Brews Coffee House
(Liberty Park) 906 South 500 East
Friday, December 9, 2011 7pm-9pm

In the tradition of Martin Luther's "Table Talks" the idea of Theology on Tap is simple: Facilitate theological conversation in a public place;
and if a good local brew (coffee this time!) is involved, even better!

Jamila Tharp, a Muslim woman of faith
and the intern minister at First Unitarian Church SLC
will be our presenter on the topic of
LGBTQ marriage rights.
Jamila is a Utah Chapter Leader for Marriage Equality USA

"Because marriage is a basic human right
and an individual personal choice,
we call upon the state and federal government to allow all couples,
regardless of sexual orientation, sex identity or gender identity,
access to civil marriage
with all the state and federal rights, responsibilities, duties and protections
that civil marriage includes."

(Marriage Equality USA mission statement)

Theology on Tap is an opportunity for folks within the church
(and especially those not connected to the church)
to discuss faith and religious life.
Pastor David will be the facilitator.
Come and join the conversation!
